Our client, an internationally recognized and leading provincial development institution, relishing multi-stakeholder support and financing, is seeking an individual of impeccable credentials for the position of Chief Executive Officer. It has operations spread across the province and working through partners and community institutions, organization’s mission is poverty reduction and economic development at grass roots. The essence of its work is to support and strengthen institutions of the poor and for the poor that are well-governed, transparent participative, accountable, and inclusive. Reporting to the Chairman/Board of Directors, the position is based at provincial capital with extensive travel across the province & Pakistan.

VACANT POST:

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

KEY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Demonstrate firm commitment to the organization’s mission, vision, and values. Take forward the strategic aims of the organization. Shall devise strategies, monitor and achieve of all function across the organization, under the umbrella of policy framework. Ensure good governance and accountability of the organization. Communicate effectively and establish credibility throughout the organization and with the Board of Directors as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges.

Represent the organization at national and international levels. Lead resource mobilization efforts to broaden and diversify the funding avenues. Build relationships with key stakeholders including donors, partners, government, and corporates.

Develop high quality business strategies and plans for effective and efficient delivery of program, formulate program design and implementation, ensuring their alignment with objects of the organization. Ensure compliances of regulatory framework to further improve the internal control environment. Provide strategic input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the organization; specifically relating to the evaluation of potential mergers, acquisitions or partnerships.

Create, improve, implement and enforce policies and procedures of the organization that will improve operational and financial effectiveness of the company. Lead the senior management team and strengthen workforce capabilities to meet upcoming challenges. Ensure collaborative, yet disciplined environment in the organization. To manage, control and supervise the day to day operations of the organization, and in particular in compliance with the law, policies and regulations.

Performance of all human resource management functions with respect to appointment, employment, discharge, re-employment or replacement of solicitors, advocates, pleaders, or legal advisors, bankers, workmen and employees with such powers and duties.

Exercise financial powers as to sanction/approve of funds in connection with day to day business affairs of the organization. Develop credibility and authority for the finance leadership team by providing accurate analysis of budgets, reports and financial trends and operational procedures in order to assist the BOD and senior management team.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE/ELIGIBILITY:

A Master’s degree or a 16 year academic degree from HEC recognized University or an internationally recognized overseas institution.

EXPERIANCE:

At least 20 years’ experience in development/civil society sector organization with at least 12 years on a senior executive role in a reputable large-scale national/international civil society/development sector organization.

Must have experience of interaction with Government officials/Departments and concerned counterparts.

Must have experience of direct interaction with the Donor agencies and have a track record of resource mobilization.
