Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) is offering a Government Job Opportunity in Pakistan 2025 for a highly qualified and experienced professional as Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Expert. This position is based at the Warsak Hydroelectric Power Station 2nd Rehabilitation Project (Warsak Project Jobs 2025).

📌 Position Details

• Position Title: Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) Expert

• Location: Warsak HEPs 2nd Rehabilitation Project, Warsak

• Pay Package: Rs. 200,000/- (Lump Sum including all perks & privileges)

• Tenure: 01 Year Contract (Extendable based on project requirement & performance)

🎓 Eligibility Criteria

• Qualification:

  • BS (Hons) in Environmental Science / Environmental Engineering (HEC recognized university)

  • NEBOSH / International General Certification preferred (NEBOSH Jobs Pakistan 2025)

• Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years of EHS management experience, with at least 5 years on large-scale infrastructure projects

  • Preference for candidates with Hydropower Jobs in Pakistan or Donor-Funded Project Jobs

• Other Requirement:

  • Candidates with KPK domicile and Pashto-speaking background will be preferred

🛠 Job Responsibilities – Environment, Health & Safety Expert

As part of this WAPDA Career Opportunity 2025, the EHS Expert will be responsible for:

• Assisting project management in fulfilling Environmental Management Jobs responsibilities.

• Overseeing completion of Environmental & Social Management Plan (ESMP) for rehabilitation works & facilities.

• Conducting HSE risk assessments and audits for all project activities.

• Identifying environmental risks, preparing mitigation measures, and maintaining a risk register.

• Submitting environmental and social monitoring reports (monthly, quarterly, annually).

• Maintaining documentation of Health & Safety (HSE) activities including incident reports, audits, inspections, and corrective actions.

• Collaborating with consultants, contractors, donor agencies, and WAPDA management.

• Conducting HSE awareness sessions and staff training programs.

• Investigating incidents, accidents, and near-misses, analyzing root causes, and implementing corrective measures.

• Integrating lessons learned into HSE management systems for future projects.

• Performing any other duties assigned by WAPDA Authority.
